This flash butt-welding system serves to produce 3-part tensile bars in a Duplex welding process with the material combination reinforcing steel - stainless steel - reinforcing steel. The lengths and diameters of the individual bars are variable. The supply is realised via three adjustable bar magazines with level monitoring. Following separation, these are retained by a double gripper system and positioned at the weld points. The simultaneously welded bars are extracted and ejected at the same time. Due to the fully automatic process, with a cycle time of approx. 3.4 sec, the operator is only required to enter the machine for cleaning purposes.
